Most pre-maths material asks a three year old to sit down. This does the opposite.

Everything here happens standing up, outdoors where possible, with things you already have. Sorting leaves. Matching stones. Working out which stick is longer. None of it is presented as maths and all of it is.

The reason it is built this way is simple. A child who has physically handled quantity understands number when it arrives. A child who has only seen numerals is memorising shapes.

The guide is written for a parent with no confidence in maths, which is most parents. There is no script to follow and nothing to get wrong. Four ideas to keep in front of you, a simple family flow, and setups you can build in five minutes.
