Garden Things we can Find

No list, no target. Walk, collect, come back, lay it out.

The absence of a list is deliberate and preschoolers find it briefly unsettling. Within a few minutes they are collecting by a private rule, all the round things, all the brown things, everything smaller than a thumb, and the adult's job is to work out what the rule is and name it back to them.

That naming moment is the best thing in this sheet. A child who hears their own unstated category described out loud sits up.
