This is the kindergarten step up from the preschool matching work, and the addition is smell as an identifier. A child who can name a plant with their eyes closed knows it differently from a child who can point at a picture.

All six are traditional Southeast Asian remedies and all six grow in a pot.

The page has the six plants, a three column recording grid, and the blind test protocol for the end of the unit. The blind test is the part children ask to repeat. It also produces a clean measure of what stuck, which is useful when a parent asks what their child has learned.
