Two weeks is long enough for a correlation to appear and short enough for a five year old to hold. In tropical conditions the clearest signal is usually a plant perking up after rain, which children spot without prompting once the record exists.

This is the first sheet in the set that asks a child to hold two variables at once, and it is genuinely demanding at this age. Run it with the whole class on one shared chart rather than individually.

The page has the chart, simple weather symbols, and prompts for the end of week two. Do not tell them the connection. The moment a child announces it themselves is the entire purpose of the fortnight.
