Natural Mosquito Strategy Design
by Eric Gonzalez-Payne

Source reduction, barriers, repellent planting, and personal protection, ranked by actual effectiveness.
The ranking is the lesson and it puts plants well down the list, which is inconvenient for a nature curriculum and is what the evidence says. Standing water removal dominates everything else.
The page has the strategy framework, the evidence summary, a site plan and a costed proposal. It also asks why the less effective measures are more popular, and the answers, that they are visible, pleasant and require no ongoing work, apply to a great deal more than mosquitoes.
