Water Stewardship Audit for Rice Spaces
by Eric Gonzalez-Payne

How much is used, where it comes from, what condition it leaves in.
The leaving condition is the part that is usually ignored. Water that exits a plot carries sediment and whatever was applied to the field, and testing turbidity is simple enough to do with a jar and a marked card.
The page has the audit method, a simple turbidity test, a usage calculation and a recommendations frame. It also covers the shared nature of the resource, which means an improvement upstream benefits people the students will never meet, and that is a real feature of water systems worth naming.
