Stewardship Ethics Seminar
by Eric Gonzalez-Payne

Four positions, all defensible, all held by real people. Production, conservation, access, and traditional rights.
The seminar format assigns positions rather than letting students pick, which stops it becoming a rehearsal of what they already think. Arguing a position you did not choose is the single most useful thing in the sheet.
The page has the four position briefs, the seminar protocol, a preparation frame and a reflection. The reflection asks which argument they found strongest, not which they agree with, and those two answers are often different, which is the outcome worth having.
