Grade five can complete a risk register properly and doing so on a hazard they genuinely understand is a good introduction to a format they will meet again in working life.

The page has the register template, an assessment method, and a recommendation frame. Estimating the height and therefore the drop energy connects to physics they are about to meet. The recommendation goes to the school, and ours have twice resulted in scheduled harvesting, which the classes involved considered a serious professional achievement.
