Plant Claim and Caution Sort

Well supported, traditionally held, unsupported, and dangerous. Four categories, twenty claims.

This is the sheet that stops the medicinal thread becoming credulous. Some of these plants have real, documented effects. Some have traditional use with no evidence either way. And a few widely repeated claims are actively unsafe.

The page has the claim cards, the four categories, and teacher notes with the current position on each. It also includes the standing rule we teach, which is that a plant being natural says nothing at all about whether it is safe, and that some of the most dangerous substances known are entirely natural.
