Water Sharing for Rice

Four groups, four plots, not enough water. Agree a plan.

The first round always fails. Someone takes too much, someone downstream gets nothing, and the harvest calculation at the end shows the total is lower than it would have been with cooperation. Then they run it again.

The second round is different in every class we have run it with.

The page has the scenario, the water allocation cards, the yield calculation, and a reflection frame. It is the closest thing in the set to a genuine lesson in shared resources, and it works because the numbers at the end are unarguable.
