The class harvest, divided. By four classes, by twelve children, by two for keeping and cooking.
Real division of a real quantity produces remainders, and remainders are the interesting part. What do you do with the three stalks that do not fit. Children's solutions range from give them to the teacher to plant them again, and the second one is genuinely correct.
The page has the division problems, working space, and a remainder decision box. It builds directly on the grade one bundling sheet, so children who did that arrive already understanding bundles of ten and can move faster. If they did not, spend ten minutes bundling first.
