Terrace Water Model

Trays, a slope, water at the top. Then break something and see what happens.

The build is straightforward. The test is where the lesson is, and the sheet directs three tests. Block a channel. Over water the top level. Remove a wall.

Each failure mode is one that real farmers manage, and children who have caused all three understand terracing far better than any diagram delivers.

The page has the build instructions, the three tests, and a results table. It also has a warning about where to do this, which is outdoors or over a large tray, because the remove a wall test does exactly what you would expect and we have flooded a classroom floor with it.
