The why column is what lifts this above matching. A worm is under a log because it is damp, and once a child has that reason they can predict where else to find worms, which they then do, correctly, and are delighted about.

Six creatures, six habitats, six reasons.

The page has the matching frame and a prediction box at the end where the child names a new place they think a given creature would be. Then they go and check. The checking is the best fifteen minutes in the sheet and the failures are as useful as the successes.
