Plant Story Clue Lines

I am tall. My fruit falls and can hurt you. People drink from me. Which plant am I.

Three clues, one answer, six rounds. It is reading comprehension with a garden in it, and children who find reading hard do well here because the content is familiar.

The clues are ordered from vague to obvious, so a child can guess early and be right, which is a small thrill worth engineering.

The page has six clue sets, an answer line for each, and a blank set at the end for the child to write their own. The written ones are then swapped around the class. Children write harder clues for each other than we would ever dare to write for them.
